Eighties Styles and a straight leg jean are the go-to Denim this season, we are starting to move away from the skinny jean for more comfortable, easy to wear styles. If you are looking to ease away from a slim leg but are not quite ready for a full straight leg, the Sarah Slim by Paige is the perfect jean to try - it is a style that works on everyone.
The 90s are a big Denim trend for Spring Summer and the Leenah by Paige is inspired by the 90s but is slightly talked for a more sophisticated and flattering look.
A tailored flare, this 70s cool, is a big statement his season and these are a super flattering style. My tip is to keep them as long as you can and try a high-rise fr the ultimate leg lengthener - just don't forget your heels!
If you are looking for a more authentic and of he moment style, Mother and Redone are perfect - both brands have retro inspired fits and vintage styled that are very comfortable to wear
I always advise not to size down. Denim can be quite unattractive when it clings too much, so never worry about an easier fit. Look out for fabrics with elastane as they will stretch a little.
Styling & Fit Advice
I’m quite short so prefer a cropped leg, a boyfriend jean that I can roll at the ankle and I love a distressed fabric
Taller ladies look incredible with a high waisted wide leg jean and curvier ladies love a slimmer fit.
If you need to have your jeans shortened, always ask your tailor to reinstate the original hem, that way you can keep all the original detail, otherwise you will have a difference in thread which can make them look cheap.
Avoid too much distressing in the fabric and aim to have a variety of washes in your wardrobe. Denim comes in an infinite number of washes from black, indigo, pale blue to white and coloured. Finally, always have a beautiful belt to hand to finish your look and cinch your waits.
